MSP is fixed by the Government of India on recommendation of the CACP to provide a guaranteed 50% profit margin over Cost A2+FL (operational expenses + family labor). Ensure crops meet FAQ (Fair Average Quality) moisture standards (12-14%) to avoid Mandi deductions.

Excessive Urea application leads to vegetative lodging and pest attacks. Follow the recommended 4:2:1 NPK ratio: apply all DAP and Potash at basal sowing time and split Urea into 2–3 equal top-dressings at critical irrigation stages.
